Welcome to Control (GMTK 2020)

You're an alien working at Control, your base of operation. The generator at your base is broken, and your base is running on batteries. If it runs out of battery power (if time runs out), you lose! To win, you need to find and install 6 gears to repair your Generator.

Until your generator is repaired, keep your base running by finding more batteries and installing them in your base to buy yourself more time.

Explore the world on a hovercraft that you can only control by walking up to each thruster and activating it individually. But each thruster is also battery powered! If a thruster runs out of battery, it won't work until you replace the battery.

Dev Info: Due to a bug that we couldn't fix in time, installing 6 gears doesn't actually trigger the win screen. But just pretend it does. =P Also, we didn't have a musician and didn't have time to find any sounds, so the game is unfortunately silent.

Controls:

WASD: Move character
Q: Pick up/put down/install battery/gear
F: Activate Hovercraft Thruster
Space: Jump (when on the ground) / Disembark (when on hovercraft)
Move Mouse: Turn Camera
